According to ancient myths and legends, Huaxu, the leader of the Huaxu Kingdom, gave birth to Fuxi, the Human Sovereign, and Nuwa, the Goddess.

It is said that Huaxu, while traveling in the Lei Ze Wild, stepped on two huge footprints and soon became pregnant.

In fact, the footprints were the essence of the God of Thunder. Ten months later, Huaxu gave birth to Fuxi and Nuwa.

Fuxi grew up, and since he possessed extraordinary abilities, he was determined to improve the plight of the people and bring about their well-being.

One day, Fuxi went to the river and saw fish and prawns playing in the water.

He thought, "If people could catch fish and prawns, the food problem would be solved!"

The next day, Fuxi saw a large spider weaving a web, and he quietly kept watch.

A few moments later, an insect flew over and was instantly stuck to the web.

Inspired, Fuxi drew on the principles of the spider's web and wove a large, tough web.

He spread the net into the water and then carefully pulled it up. Finding that there were really some fish inside, Fuxi began to promote the net fishing method to people.

Afterwards, he also applied this method skilfully to catching birds, and people's food sources became richer.

Fuxi also taught people how to domesticate wild animals, and as a result, people had livestock and became more affluent.

According to legend, Fuxi also created the Eight Trigrams.

In ancient times, people's knowledge of natural phenomena was very limited, and whenever there were violent storms and lightning, people felt very afraid.

Therefore, Fuxi wished to learn about the laws of these natural phenomena.

He often climbed to the top of Guatai Mountain, looking up at the sky and observing the earth with his head down.

Once, while observing on the mountain, he suddenly noticed a strange animal in a cave on the opposite side.

The animal jumped onto a boulder in the Weishui River at the foot of the mountain and instantly transformed the stone into a circular Taiji diagram with various patterns echoing each other.

Inspired, Fuxi drew the Eight Trigrams, using Qian to represent Heaven, Kun to represent the Earth, Kan to represent Water, Li to represent Fire, Gen to represent Mountain, Zhen to represent Thunder, Xun to represent Wind, and Dui to represent Lake.

Fu Xi began to teach people to use the eight trigrams to deduce the laws of the world, but also taught people how to use the eight trigrams to predict good and bad luck and get the will of heaven.

One day, there was a sudden downpour of rain, and Fuxi and Nuwa coincidentally hid in the same cave to avoid the rain.

Upon meeting, they became emotionally connected to each other and became husband and wife.

Fu Xi is one of the founders of the humanities and the Three Sovereigns of the Chinese nation, as well as the god and earliest creator who blessed the nation.

The goddess Nuwa is the creator deity in Chinese ancient mythology, who initiated the humanities of the country in the ancient times and is a beautiful goddess who blesses the nation.

As such, Fuxi and Nuwa were both brother and sister as well as husband and wife.

Fuxi also invented the Guqin and Se, music, divination and sorcery, and formulated customs such as rituals and religion.

He also prescribed people's family names, calling himself Feng.

In addition to this, he divided people into different clans, redrew the boundaries and appointed people to administer them, providing a legal basis for future generations.

Fuxi also created medicine, which is referred to in Di Wang Shi Ji as "who tasted hundreds of herbs and made nine kinds of classical needles".

For thousands of years, the medical profession has honoured him as the founder of medicine and acupuncture.

He also reformed marriage customs, advocated marriage etiquette, and transformed endogamy into exogamy, putting an end to the primitive group marriages that had long prevailed.

In short, he took many useful measures to open the door of early human culture, enabling people to move from the primitive state of ignorance to the palace of civilisation.

Because of his many contributions, Fuxi was honoured by later generations as the pioneer of humanism of the Chinese nation and listed as one of the Three Sovereigns.

The goddess Nuwa, on the other hand, created mankind out of yellow clay, worked tirelessly and actively to mend the sky, saving the world and bringing the gospel to the world.

For this reason, later generations called the goddess Nuwa "Mother Earth".
