Chapter 1 Introduction

Chapter 1 Introduction
June 6th, 2068.

As the sun set, the sun hung low at the far horizon where the sea and sky met. The afterglow was reflected on the deep blue sea, casting a layer of delicate golden light.
A group of sea birds rushed into the sea, then one by one emerged disappointed, continuing to fly. There was no longer any sign of fish swimming in the sea…
For hundreds of years, as the industrialization process has advanced, human civilization has developed to a quite high level.
But the Earth’s resources are gradually being exhausted and can no longer support the growing energy needs of the human world.
The entire Earth’s ecosystem is close to a desolate state where resources are exhausted.
Humans cannot sit and wait to die. Leaving their home planet, venturing into deep space, and immigrating to outer space, is the only way out.
This is Australia’s Gold Coast.

On the narrow and long beach, the Earth residents waiting to be immigrants are crowded. They were the first batch of 6 million people selected by the Interstellar Immigration Program. The destination of this immigration is the Andromeda galaxy, two million six hundred thousand light-years away. There exists a “parallel Earth” with an identical ecological system to Earth. Every Earthling could see another self there…

In accordance with the agreement between the two sides, the United Government of the parallel Earth in Andromeda agrees to receive the Earth immigrants. They send a fleet of 1,600 large spacecraft to rescue the earthlings in the solar system.

The first pioneer fleet will arrive over the Gold Coast tonight.

Over 6 million migrants from Earth have gathered on the narrow beach. The seawater surged onto the beach, wetting people’s clothes and shoes. The crowd was silently gazing into the deep blue sea. They had long lost the patience to queue and crowded together in disarray, waiting for their unknown journey.

Finally, nightfall arrived. The orange-red sun slowly sank from the horizon—

Qingchun Huang stood beside Lambert, gazing at the distant, massive blood-red sunset, and sighed softly, “This is the human sunset, the end of civilization!”

Gang Chen tightened her hand and looked up at the vast stars above, “This is not the end of humanity, it’s a new beginning for humanity to explore the universe!”

Earth had exhausted its resources and was in a state of devastation. Humanity could not wait to die. Leaving the Earth and heading into deep space was the only way out.

Gang Chen was an astrophysicist and the chief executive officer of the Earth United Government’s “Interstellar Immigration Program.” Gang Chen was always confident in the future, even if the sky was falling, he had the courage to turn the tide.

The appointed time was getting closer–

A strange light flickered in the clouds over the Gold Coast. The rescue fleet sent by the parallel Earth had arrived in the outer atmosphere of the stars…

Suddenly, there was a burst of animal cries from the immigrant group. There were monkeys, elephants, tigers, leopards, poultry, and birds. The animals were temporarily imprisoned in iron cages. As night fell, they became restless.

These animals did not know how lucky they were to be selected from among countless of their kind to follow humans on the path of interstellar migration!

Jia Xu stood at the back of the immigrant group. When she heard the animals’ restless cries, she became anxious and rushed to the iron cages, calming the agitated beasts with her familiar animal language.

Jia Xu was a leading figure in the radical animal conservation organization. Before the first immigration plan was implemented, she tried her best to lobby the government officials: humans could not be too selfish! As living beings on Earth, animals had the right to migrate to other planets for survival just like humans!

After tough negotiations, Jia Xu fought for three hundred immigration slots for the wild animals. Elephants were almost excluded from the list because of their large size, which took up the space of more than ten people. Jia Xu stood her ground and refused to compromise. Finally, she managed to save the elephants’ immigration qualifications…

In addition, Jia Xu had collected several hundred pounds of plant seeds in advance. Unfortunately, there was limited space, and she could only beg her best friend Qingchun Huang to bring a bag of corn seeds, while her friends Gang Chen and Liang Ma each brought some rice and wheat. Even so, there were many seeds left with nowhere to put them. Among them were cherished endangered species, which would surely be extinct if abandoned.

Jia Xu was anxious and red-faced, running through the crowd with the seed pockets, begging people to help and stuffing seeds into their pockets.

Finally, several hundred pounds of plant seeds were distributed.

Everyone’s pockets were bulging. The already crowded immigrant group looked quite comical.

Fine rain was falling in the night sky, and the sea was choppy.

The crowds on the beach gradually lost their patience. Out of boredom, people gathered around Liang Ma , an amateur painter, wanting to see his world-renowned masterpiece: “Jungle Birds and Beasts.” People were curious how a nameless, impoverished, third-rate painter could create such a sensational, top-name work of art.

Liang Ma crouched on the sand, holding his waterproof backpack to prevent them from opening it. He was not stingy, but afraid that rainwater would dampen the painting, spoiling its original colors.

Gang Chen rushed over to help Liang Ma out. He patiently explained to the onlookers and promised to show “Jungle Birds and Beasts” to everyone for free after they boarded the spacecraft. The people dispersed wisely, and the entire immigrant group returned to calm.

Gang Chen knew that these Earth immigrants who had nothing were capable of doing anything out of frustration and anxiety.

So, Gang Chen waved to Jia Xu and Manto, indicating that they should come closer to Liang Ma . The four of them sat huddled on the cold sand, supporting each other…

Gang Chen and Liang Ma were childhood friends who grew up in the same village and had an unbreakable bond. Qingchun Huang and Jia Xu, on the other hand, had been inseparable classmates since elementary school.

In fact, they all shared one common identity - they were classmates in the ninth grade, Class Three in middle school.

After the rain cleared, the stars twinkled in the sky and sJie Dong brightly through the clouds.

Gang Chen stood up and looked up at the starry sky above the sea.

Suddenly, a huge wave surged up from the sea, as if heated up by some kind of energy, boiling up. In moments, the starlight dimmed, and the seabirds flew away. Only a few fish left in the deep sea splashed and danced.

At the same time, dozens of burning light beams flashed across the sky. From afar, they silently moved toward the Golden Coast.

When the light beams moved directly above the beach, people finally saw their true appearance-

Under the intense light, several hundred giant spaceships hovered silently in the night sky about 300 meters above the ground.

The silver-grey, enormous circular-shaped transports resembled floating islands in the air, covering the sky and creating an impressive spectacle.

Around the fleet, dozens of disc-shaped battleships formed a protective formation, monitoring every movement above and below the ground.

People looked up at the sky, stunned by the grand and magnificent scene.

All the spacecraft made no sound. The eerie atmosphere set off this massive interstellar fleet like divine beings descended from the heavens, solemn and awe-inspiring.

They have finally arrived!
